A moody morning turned to a classic summer day in Huntington Beach, but the conditions proved testy for the world's best longboarders at the Lexus US Open of Surfing Presented by Pacifico.

Magic moments provided the first excellent showings amid slow conditions, but those who were able to adapt rose to the occasion. From lightning-fast, stylish footwork to holding nose rides as long as the wave would allow, a showcase ensued to prove who was worthy of Finals Day spots - and a chance to make Huntington Beach surfing history. It all goes down Tuesday, July 29, to see who adds their name to the esteemed list of US Open of Surfing longboard victors.
