PLAYA DA FRAGATA, Ferrol, Galicia / Spain (Tuesday, June 24, 2025) - The World Surf League (WSL) Europe returns to the wave-rich region of Galicia for the GADIS Surf Festival Ferrol from Wednesday, June 25 through to Sunday, June 29, 2025. This year, a WSL Junior Qualifying Series (JQS) 1,000 joins the festivities alongside the classic GADIS Longboard Pro Ferrol

Pro Junior Joins The Festivities
As testament to the success of this event and the incredible waves on offer at Playa da Fragata and Esmelle, a Junior Pro division has been included in the festival for the first time. TheGADIS Junior Pro Ferrol will be the first stop of the 2025 JQS season. It's a good opportunity to test the water and see if their work in the off-season will pay dividends.
It's a stacked field with Challenger Series surfer Kai Odriozola, 2024 European Junior winner Francisco Ordonhas and Paco Alonzo featuring in the men's draw. On the women's side, Sarah Leiceaga, Sol Borelli and Lilou Rumiel are the top seeds heading into this event.

Longboard Pro To Open 2025 Season
As the final event for the European LQS 2024/2025 season, the GADIS Longboard Pro Ferrol crown the European champions as well as the regional qualifiers for the 2025 World Longboard Tour. It's a highly experienced field that will arrive in Ferrol, and the competition will be fierce as only one spot is available in both the men and women divisions for the World Longboard Tour.
Emily Currie and Ginger Caimi lead the women's division. Defending event winner Edouard Delpero returns to Ferrol, and will come up against top seeds Martin Coret and António Dantas.
Alice Lemoigne, Zoe Grospiron and Ben Skinner already requalified for the WLT.
Beyond the surfing, visitors can expect plenty of activities happening at Camping as Cazabas. Music, food trucks, a skate zone, workshops and free surfing lessons will set the stage for a celebration of surfing and the summer-season, and it's the place to be!
The GADIS Junior Pro and Longboard Pro Ferrol is scheduled from June 25-29, 2024 at Praia da fragata, Ferrol, Galicia / Spain.
