The men's Round of 16 of the Corona Cero Open J-Bay unraveled with plenty of upsets and major moments for those looking to solidify their place into the Final 5.

Marco Mignot upsets No. 1 Jordy Smith in home waters to shake up the Final 5 race. Yago Dora and Filipe Toledo brought the airshow and it took them soaring into the Quarterifnals. The Top 5 contenders proved their worth with No. 3 Kanoa Igarashi lighting up J-Bay, No. 6 Griffin Colapinto knocking on the door after besting Cole Houshmand in a battle of friends. Plus No. 7 Ethan Ewing pushed his way to the Quarterfinals as he looks for a second J-Bay victory in his career.
